MULTI-BURNER, SINGLE APPLIANCE

The PF3100 system will independently control each burner and allow the user to access, monitor, and control the entire system from a single, intuitive, user-interface.

WHAT MAKES THE PF3100 DIFFERENT / BETTER THAN OTHER SOLUTIONS

Using multiple stand-alone controllers will work for this application, but it makes the operator’s job much more complex. Each controller needs to be started and stopped independently and each controller will need to have its own temperature reading and will not necessarily be exactly in sync with the others.

Several systems offer control of 2-3 burners, but the main issue is that they create a single failure point. If the controller has a fault ALL burners must be shut down. When using the PF3100 system, each burner has an independent controller that can operate regardless of the status of the other burners.

Few systems, offer adequate control of more than 3 burners using a single user-interface. The PF3100 allows for expandable control of up to 32 PF3100 modules.

MULTI-PILOT, SINGLE APPLIANCE

Multiple pilots can be controlled by a single system. This is used when there is a single main burner control and more than one pilot requiring flame detection.

What Makes the PF3100 different / better than other solutions?

The PF3100 will handle a multi-pilot application out of the box without additional hardware. Typically to control these systems, a customer would need to use multiple flame detectors with individual pilot control linked to a PLC, which would then control the main valve. This requires complex setup and custom programing.

The PF3100 is an optimal plug-and-play play solution requiring very little, if any, on-site programming in order to control a multi-pilot vessel.

What Makes the PF3100 different / better than other solutions?

Typically each appliance would have its own controller and the user would either be required to either manually inspect each controller in order to check on the status, or develop, program, and install and costly PLC on site, which would monitor all of the appliances from a single interface.

The 3100 could easily eliminate the need for a PLC and allow the operator to spend less time on each site.

COMING SOON! FORCED AIR APPLICATIONS

Almost all of the PF3100 applications, both current and planned will soon be available in either natural draft or forced draft. The PF3100 system will control the fan for an effective forced draft installation.

What Makes the PF3100 different / better than other solutions?

Before now, Profire had no ability service, quote, or equip forced draft applications.  But, now with the PF3100’s soon-to-come forced air application, Profire can quickly expand its offerings to more fully suit our customer’s needs—including those with forced air needs.

The PF3100’s forced air application might easily eliminate the need for a PLC, custom forced air designs, and then allow operators to expand and implement as needed.

Vessels likely used for this application:

All vessels that require forced air. Most appliances that we currently equip will have a forced draft equivalent. This forced draft addition could quickly open doors to service other industries such as agriculture, asphalt recycling, commercial, pulp and paper, etc. The PF3100 will be able to equip and service a wide variety of equipment that uses a flame for heat, even outside of the oil and gas industry.
